We buy the same raw material from different suppliers, but make our Finished goods by mixing these different combinations. Now we got a requirement to be able to track back the exact Raw Material/Vendor combo for recalls and quality checks. How do other companies manage this? Today we have different batch numbers for these materials when coming from vendors but they are combined together when making finished goods. I understand this might have to change our entire design on how we do it today. Appreciate any insights into how other companies are managing this requirement. Thank you for your help!
