    Benchmarking BPO and SME Community

I work in a company that is multinational, and VERY matrixed.  When SAP was deployed in 2008, we leveraged the very traditional BPO/SME design suggested by SAP.  How this does NOT WORK for our company, is that it requires a community of volunteers within different matrixed pieces of our organization.  As their priorities shift, so does their attention and participation.  We are also embarking on financial transformation, which will increase the scope of our Shared Accounting Services, but also to begin a Controlling Center of expertise - dividing work areas by transactional, rules based, and business partnering.  This will shift the dynamics of resources that are at the local sites, which will have an effect on the current business process owners that are in the field.

I would love to benchmark or talk to other businesses that have found a structure/ process of business process ownership that works!
