We have just completed and gone live with linking our Plant Maintenance Orders and our Project Systems Networks to the Logistics Execution Outbound Deliveries for our materials that we inventory in a central location and distribute to our work sites through out the province.
Has anyone else done this and how was your experience?
(We are an Electrical Transmission company so our "plant maintenance assets" are power lines and substations.)
The "normal" method of just placing maintenance or new construction materials on Reservation left no "system method" to manage the allocation of stock or the ability to manage the shipment process to site.
I would be interested to hear your success / pitfalls of the implementation.
