We have set up our Health benefit deductions to hit the Arrears and DNTK table if the employee does not have enough net pay to handle the deduction. In the case when the employee goes out on an extended leave of absence or extended military leave, the deduction goes into arrears and the amount is collected from the employee the moment he/she returns and has enough disposable income. This is an issue for us as the employee may have a large amount of deductions in arrears when they return. I'm reaching out to see how others handle this situation or to learn how others avoid a "zero-net" check outcome. Any information you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.
