We would like to understand the best practice for transports request. For example, in our environment transport go in daily. Some are scheduled the next day and some are done immediately. At previous employers we have done transports weekly with weekly team reviews. However, in some cases it is necessary to have emergency transports daily but that was strictly emergency all others went weekly. I would like to get a sense from other companies on how they handle transport request.

I happen to like SAP's Change Request Management (CHaRM) from Solution Manager
The last place I worked everything was in releases, using CHaRM, it would track the stages of the transport and then transports would be moved to an environment in a release after approvals. We were on a quarterly release cycle.
