I think there already is an ASUG space for this - there is an Archiving /ILM SIG under BITI see http://www.asug.com/discussions/community/sig_communities/business_integration__technology_%26_infrastructure/archiving_…

Hi Tammy, I don't see a discussion forum for ILM. I see one for Informatica by Rao & a CEI for ILM by Karen but it was closed Nov 8, 2013. Am I missing something here ? Can you point me to what you are speaking of, as I know other companies have ILM software from SAP other than Bayer but SAP can't tell me and we need to get together & learn from each other for this new technology. Thank you. Bill (PS I still work for Bayer as a Consultant after 17 years there & 5 working on ILM Decommissioning)
Tammy is correct - this is already covered in the Archiving and ILM SIG's Discussion Forum. She also provided you the link.
Bill the Archiving & ILM SIG space (http://www.asug.com/discussions/community/sig_communities/business_integration__technology_%26_infrastructure/archiving_… is designed to be the place to ask questions and share documents related to these topics. That link is the discussion forum you're describing. The Actions panel on the right will allow you to ask questions, share documents, etc. This is also where webcast recordings from the SIG are posted.
Got it. Thank you Karin. I filled it out & now hoping to see some discussion on who's doing what ??? We need to know Best Practices other than ours.
Do you have a customer speaking in June ? We need to learn more about ARW (Accelerated Retn Warehouse) as user friendly retrieval of the ILM data is difficult right now but should be much better with the new offerings.
Thanks Danny. I see it.
Bill, I am interested....Thanks
