Whether the SAP solution set is on premise, in the cloud, or both, the rubber meets the road with the users of the software. It has been proven over the years that the software works. The real test lies in the user community. In order to manage the change and, ultimately, adoption of the new solution there are many considerations to ensure people are aware, ready, enabled, and proficient. Prior to now this responsibility resided with two special interest groups (SIG) within the ASUG Services and Support Community; Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Documentation & Training (D&T). With each squarely focused on end-user success, they often collaborate when choosing speakers, webinars, and topics of interest for members. User adoption and user experience are moving to the forefront of the conversation and it is a natural evolution for these two SIGs to combine forces to capitalize on this momentum. Services and Support is pleased to announce the creation of the User Adoption & Enablement SIG.
This group (with a combined membership of over 17,000) remains strongly committed to ensuring users adopt not only the change in software, but in process and business as well. The dedicated volunteers will continue to provide access to resources/programs highlighting new advances and best practices in the areas of training, change management, communications, learning management, business process management, and end user adoption and look forward to collaborating with the newly formed User Experience Community as the technology continues to bridge the gap between business-based and consumer-based interaction.
Watch this space. It’s getting really good!
