    Which database are the sets created in?


    As of 4.2 SP4, 4 databases are supported: SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, IBM Netezza

    Sets are written back in the source database, in order to leverage source joining capability.


    How do you envision use of sets in a retail sales context?


    There are different ways to use sets for retail sales. You might put products in differnet places in your retail store and you can build set based on products that were sold. You can build marketing campaigns and measure benefits using sets.



    What kind of authorisation is required to write back into Hana for sets?


    The user of the connectivity needs to have the rights to write back to a specific catalog. Other users would need ability to read that catalog.



    Is there support for sets in predictive / lumira?


    Sets are supported by Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports, as of now



    Can sets be used as data that can be used as values to pass to another query in webi? i.e. query 1 runs set, query 2 off a different universe uses the sets to retrieve data


    Using Query on Query feature with set filtering the first query



    Whats the future for end user maintenance of their own sets without IDT?


    Ability to build sets for end user is in the roadmap post 2018
