What is the primary function of the Champion?
The Champion serves as the liaison between ASUG and the member organization, sharing the latest news and information with the SAP users at the member organization to ensure they are maximizing the value of the membership.
The Champion is also responsible for all on-boarding of new employees and managing the company roster to ensure that all employees who use SAP have access to the content on ASUG.com. When an employee leaves the organization, the Champion is responsible for ensuring that that user is deactivated.
A company Champion should be well versed in the Events calendar on ASUG.com and ensuring that employees are aware of upcoming featured events, chapter meetings and other educational opportunities as offered by ASUG.
In the absence of a Primary Contact, the Champion would be responsible for renewals.
How many Champions can a company have?
We encourage companies to have more than one Champion, especially if they are a larger organization. Typically, a company can have anywhere from 3-5 Champions. It is strongly advised that Champions work in different departments, but connect with each other on a regular basis to ensure that employees are leveraging their membership on ASUG.com.
