The Archiving and Information Lifecycle Management SIG appeals to technical and functional users who utilize data and documents over the lifecycle of the information, or are responsible for maintaining the size and performance of an SAP system. Those who must assure compliance with regulatory and internal policies and procedures and those who have an interest in the management of data/information from creation to destruction will also find value in this SIG.
The Archiving and Information Lifecycle Management SIG focuses on data management, retention management, records hold management and eDiscovery compliance, document archiving, as well as aspects of modern storage strategies. Additional focus is on best practices and tools used in conjunction with ILM projects, data archiving, image archiving, DART (Data Retention Tool) and information access. This SIG maintains a balance between the technical, business, and legal aspects for archiving and Information Lifecycle Management.
