Supply Chain Planning Description

    The Supply Chain Planning SIG members encompass a wide variety of industries representing a wide variety of processes. We have consultants, analysts, technicians, and end users; while knowledge levels range from new users to experienced users to technical experts.


    We focuses on planning, forecasting, and scheduling in S/4HANA, SAP R/3, SCM-APO (Advance Planning & Optimization) and also SCM-IBP (Integrated Business Planning). Typical topics include Forecasting, S&OP, MPS, MRP, capacity planning and sequencing, finite scheduling, demand management, and flexible planning. We may also touch on planning-related aspects of master data, DRP, SOP, and production control, to name just a few areas. In APO, we discuss topics in the following modules: Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), and Global Available-to-Promise (GATP).
