Version 1

Join ASUG and SAP for the webcast, Real-World Application Testing Best Practices, scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, at 1:00 p.m. EST.

SaskPower and Oklahoma Gas and Electric have found different ways to drive enterprise efficiency and transformation. In this informative webcast, you’ll hear directly from these leading utility companies on how they are leveraging SAP’s Testing portfolio to remove project bottlenecks and help drive efficiency gains in key areas such as postproduction application defects, test script automation, and reduced script transaction time.

    Joining us will be:

    Sheldon Smith
    Supervisor of Application Development
    Corporate Information and Technology
    SaskPower

As the Supervisor of Application Development at SaskPower, Sheldon is accountable for all aspects of development, testing and quality assurance within the SAP development lifecycle and also other development platforms. Over the past few years, Sheldon's focus has been the rollout of a Test Center of Excellence, which includes the roles, tools and processes to improve the automation and efficiency of testing across SaskPower's complex SAP environment.

    Tim Hendrickson
    Manager, Enterprise Application Support
    Oklahoma Gas and Electric

Tim manages part of the overall SAP support team. He has a number of Functional Analysts and Developers on his team. The team supports the core modules: FICO, PS, PM, MM, P2P, HR/Payroll, BPC, etc. Oklahoma Gas and Electirc are about 2/3 of the way through automating our 1,000 or so tests. They were able to use some of the automation at the end of 2011 and saw a significant decrease in the amount of Analyst time required for testing. They believe this efficiency and quality gain will carry over into a full upgrade regression test.
